RDM Records originated in Milan out of the necessity for complete autonomy. We reject the 'common sense' of dominant culture and the hollow constraints of 'genre' or 'entertainment'. For us, music is neither a replica of fashion nor a market commodity; it is a movement of inquiry and a creation-in-action. We hold that human production—the singular and paramount essence—constitutes the ultimate meaning of being.

The research we promote concerns the infinite intradisciplinary and intraconceptual scope opened up by technology, manifested within the musical domain through its «electroacoustic» determination. It is an epistemic investigation centered on the correspondence between sound and audibility, and between thought and intelligibility; these two domains share the unexplored realm of perceptual processes. Within a context where every discipline unfolds across a fabric of technological apparatuses, we sharply distinguish between a technical-mechanical utilization of these means and a creative, active deployment. Our inquiry is firmly intertwined with technologies when they are not merely applied, but rather set to work within a framework aimed at the articulation of sense—autonomous both technically and linguistically. Our music production services apply this theoretical structure to the production of sound audio recordings that preserve their own technical and linguistic autonomy.

In 2018, this vision expanded into the heart of South Beach with the birth of Jadys Daniele’s. Directed by co-founders Romina Daniele and Lorenzo Marranini, this space was conceived as a welcoming and informal artistic sanctuary, where the theoretical research of RDM Records converged with the materiality of live performance, avant-garde electronics, the roots of rock and blues, and the excellence of Italian-American hospitality.

Today, RDM Records and Jadys Daniele operate as a unified entity while preparing to establish a new venue for live music programming. Our mission encompasses the entire spectrum of record production services and book publishing, offering works across both physical and digital formats. Whether dealing with the publishing of electronic books, an audio monograph across a triple CD set, a bilingual poetry collection, or a live blues performance, we remain dedicated to the originative nature of art-making. A Legacy of Autonomous Creation

Since 2010, Lorenzo Marranini has been the driving force behind RDM Records, an independent label dedicated to the intersection of sound research, avant-garde production, and critical discourse. Operating between Milan and Miami, he has performed across prominent European experimental stages, establishing a reputation defined by uncompromising aesthetic autonomy and artistic integrity.

The SHEEN Project & Absence

In 2015, Marranini initiated the Absence project, released under the moniker Sheen. Developed in close compositional collaboration with Romina Daniele, the work stands as a masterclass in the manipulation of physical sound masses and the erasure of traditional genre boundaries.

Through rigorous electroacoustic research, synthetic and electronic architectures fuse with instrumental atmospheres, seamlessly integrating vocal compositions and text written by Romina Daniele. The project is constructed along the spine of a profound existential and philosophical concept—from which the title Absence originates, inspired by Daniele's poetic line "Assenza (o soglia del mio dolore)". The album unfolds as a numbered concept structure in which each track marks a distinct phase within this ontological trajectory.

Lorenzo Marranini: Sound Architect. Founding Partner & Creative Director

Romina Daniele (b. Naples, 1980) is an avant-garde vocalist, electroacoustic composer, fine art photographer, and theoretical writer. Her multidisciplinary output operates at the intersection of electronic music, sound research, and pure philosophical inquiry. Renowned for her rigorous exploration of extended vocal techniques and the technological paradigms of fixed media, her work positions the human voice as the definitive pivot where sound and intellect converge, conceiving the artistic act as a primary source of knowledge.

Grounded in an advanced academic background featuring two Master’s degrees with high honors (cum laude) in Cinema and in New Technologies and Electronic Music, she has conducted in-depth theoretical research into the philosophy of audiovision, art criticism, and the history of photography. She is the author of landmark musicological texts—including analytical studies dedicated to Luciano Berio (Thema - Omaggio a Joyce) and the interplay between music and moving image in Louis Malle and Miles Davis (Ascenseur pour l'échafaud)—which establish a structural framework for the deconstruction of language and sonic matter.

From her debut with Diffrazioni Sonore (winner of the International Demetrio Stratos Award for Musical Experimentation) to the monumental milestone Spannung and her essential integration of blues roots, her research has transformed vocal improvisation and electronics into an instrument of existential and epistemological inquiry.

Formerly active between Milan and Berlin, she relocated her production infrastructure to Miami, Florida, in 2018. As founder and director of RDM Records, she leads the label’s transatlantic expansion into new multidisciplinary territories, directing the Official Label Editions series, the Jadys Daniele's venue concept, and the editorial platform Electroacoustics Magazine, a Research Hub affiliated with the Arti & Tecnologie (Arts & Technologies) journal.
